bread with soup
20Apr08
at the end of a day of domesticity without an other, and much musing on all of that with a former other. so many words, so much time and space.
it’s been a rainy day in sydney, no-one really wanted to leave their house, but eventually i made it out and about with my freshly baked bread to eat hearty homemade soup. the smoked paprika made this soup even heartier and more-ish.
mitch made the soup, he’s also the one who gave me the starter a week ago, so it only seemed appropriate to eat it with him. the bread was super dense and heavy but tasty, the caraway seeds adding extra flavour and fun. maybe bit by bit, a bit of foamy sludge things will get lighter and even more tasty.
