kitchen-lack
my imminent departure from australia means i have been packing my life into brown cardboard boxes and generally shedding much of my pastlife. which means the kitchen cupboards are nearly bare, bar a few bags of lentils and tea and sugar. and nothing to cook with.
so i have been eating out more than i’d like. last night it was a $6 steak in waverley. with a crazy green peppercorn creamy sauce. note to self to not think ‘green peppercorn’ equals a brown gravy like sauce again. the photo was toooooo blurry so please just imagine what it was like. there were many steamed veges and mash as well.
and tonight it was the $6 chicken schnitzel in surry hills. with mash and no sauce (especially after last night’s crazy sauce). and a big bowl of asian greens. and beer of course. the steak in the background is not mine, obviously couldn’t have steak 2 nights in a row. so we’ll see how many under $10 meals i can eat over the next few weeks (i know that’s going to be blown a couple of nights at least…).
