not roast
16Jul06
after a long day i had to cancel my roast chicken plans and have tinned chicken sooup instead. served canadian style, with ‘biscuits’ on top (aka jatz). its this thing they did there, you don’t get a roll, you get a little pack of saltines or salada type cracker, and you’re sposed to crumble them over your soup. weird i say.
but makes me remember days of soup bought from the canteen at toronto east general hospital, cream of anything the hospital chefs could find to cream. and days of snow, and grey, industrial cities, and working jobs that weren’t too serious but helped people out.

looks like somehting you’d buy at the central markets chinatown food land. i’m glad other people put crazy things like jatz on top of food. i put cruskit’s into my son’s baby food to go all soggy and mushable eatable.
